Today the gang got up earlyish and after breakfast we headed of to Sanibel Island [about sixty miles north of Marco.] We took the coastal route to take in the views, via Bonita Springs and Fort Myers beach town. We spent about three hours on one of the beaches fronting the Gulf of Mexico. Gary's dad holds special memories of times spent on Sanibel Island, he took us to cafe that he had visited with Gary's mum. It was a good lunch then followed a drive to the lighthouse point to watch the pelicans diving for fish. Afterwards we all had ice creams before setting off back for Marco. A really enjoyable day was had by all!!

ReplyDeleteIt all looks completely fabulous the weather the apartment and your happy faces say it all, but whats going on with the hair! Dave has been and had lunch with your Mum and Dad today and all is well. Its Thursday now where is the news withdrawal want the latest installment of Dynasty without shoulder pads but with big hair and plenty of pouting love to you both Dave and Sam say hi to the boys!!
